Let’s talk about the plug-ins that come with the backpack

The external mounting of the bag (hereinafter referred to as "external mounting") is outside the internal closed space of the bag design, the webbing is hung, and the external non-closed space is used to store items. We call the external loadable space backpack attachments.

The external mount simplifies the cumbersome process of taking off and opening the bag to get the items; at the same time, the external mount method increases the volume of the bag, and more items can be carried through the external mount.

What are the types of plug-ins?

1. The most common is that the surface of the backpack is covered with PALs webbing of the Molle system, which provides a platform that can be freely modularized and combined. This is a plug-in (expansion) method that many players and friends like to see.

There are many things to hang on the surface, each of which has a purpose. Water bottle bags for hiking water bottles; accessory bags for EDC tools; medical bags for team trips, sleeping pads for rest, curtains for camping, etc. These items can be easily accessed on the go, and other things can be placed inside the backpack.

2. Net pocket or elastic cloth pocket: the most common and effective way of hanging in outdoor backpacks.

In consideration of durability, military backpacks generally use elastic cloth pockets, and rarely use elastic mesh pockets. Elastic net pockets are commonly found in outdoor travel backpacks and in the internal space of military backpacks.

3. Kangaroo pocket hanging. The biggest difference between kangaroo pockets and net pockets and elastic cloth pockets is that kangaroo pockets are optional expansion accessories, which can be combined, removed, or integrated. The latter two are part of the bag body and cannot be disassembled.

The external hanger and the backpack are integrated and cannot be disassembled, and the size of the external space can be adjusted, and the size of the external space can be adjusted by using an elastic belt or an adjustable bayonet.

4. Compression webbing plug-in: Use the webbing on the side of the bag to fix walking sticks, tripods, photo frames and other equipment.

For example, the left side of the main bag of ILBE can be hung on the water bladder bag, and other irregular-shaped tools can be quickly mounted and removed.

5. Elastic cords and other backpack attachments

Whether the attached package or item needs to be taken at any time, if it needs to be accessed frequently, it can be used. When using a plug-in, you must also consider comfort (whether it affects the balance and the load-bearing capacity of each part of the body), and safety (valuable items cannot be plugged in, and attention should be paid to preventing theft and loss of items). Reasonable choice of backpack and reasonable use of plug-ins will bring more convenience to your actions.
